Happy July Golden Angels! Our July Social will be held on Friday, July 12th at 5:30 pm in the St. Augustine room. This month is bring a friend with you! Please feel free to invite a friend or family member who doesn’t usually attend our socials to join us for a delicious and fun evening! The menu will be “summer cookout”. We will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, mustard, mayo, ketchup and relish. Members please bring sides and desserts. Roger T will be giving us a talk on the history of our wonderful country after dinner. Please sign up on the sheet in the Narthex or reply to this email with your name and how many. We are planning a field trip to the Mabee- Gerrer Museum of Art at St. Gregory’s in Shawnee, in early August, possibly attending Mass, and, of course, a nice lunch somewhere. I am still working on the details and hope to have all the information ready by the Social. The next Golden Angels Board meeting will be held on Monday, July 15th at 1:30pm in the Lamb Room. If you have a concern or want to present something to the board, please let Margie Tisdel know so you can be added to the agenda. Maybe it’s something currently being done that you would like to see changed, or add something new, or whatever. If you don’t want to attend the meeting, but have any suggestions or concerns, please voice them at the Social. This month’s Cookie Sunday will be Sunday, July 21st. If you can donate some cookies or help out, please contact Vinola Smith at 732-4760. In June, we said farewell to Fr. Fuller at our well attended Salad Social by means of a trivia quiz all about Father. It was a lot of fun and Father won 1st prize, since he was the only person to get all the answers correct!😁 Prayer for Those Living Alone I live alone, dear Lord, stay by my side, In all my daily needs, be thou my guide. Grant me good health, for that I pray. To carry on my work from day to day. Keep pure my thoughts, my every deed. Let me be kind and unselfish in my neighbor’s needs. Spare me from fire, from floods, malicious tongues, From thieves, from fear, and evil ones. If sickness or an accident befall me, Then humbly, Lord, I pray, hear Thou call. And when I am feeling low, or in despair, Lift up my heart and help me in my prayer. I live alone, dear Lord, yet have no fear Because I feel Your presence ever near. Amen Happy Summer everyone!
